The Writing Experience: Dec 13st Fri – 7-10pm  Dec 14th  Sat – 10am-1pm

The Writing Experience is a course designed to move students from novice to adept screenwriters. The students will learn to transform multi-genre ideas into dynamic screenplays. The Writing Experience is more than a hands-on writing course; students will have the opportunity to field test their material with actors in the Acting Experience Course at FilmYE’Own Academy.

The Acting Experience: Mon.Dec 8th 1pm-5pm or Mon.Dec 8th 7pm-9pm and Dec 9th 7pm-9pm

 

The Acting Experience is a course offered to both children and adults who are beginning their professional acting careers. Students will learn how to develop physical and vocal endurance as well as how to analyze a script and build characters based on character analysis. Among other things, students will learn and grasp the history of theatre and its importance in integrating those skills with different acting styles and techniques. Students will learn the character traits and methods that are dynamic and necessary for good acting as well as how to cold read for auditions.

 

The Children’s Acting Experience: Dec 13th and 20th Sat-10am-12pm(Ages 5 to 17yrs)

The Children’s Acting Experience is very unique. Although the children’s acting experience does follow the same curriculum as the acting experience, the instructor’s system of teaching involves entertaining games that will increase the student’s use of memory, emotions, and facial expression, which are the basic fundamentals of acting.

 

The Directing & Producing Experience: January  TBD

The Directing Experience INTRO is the course offered to the filmmaker who is pursuing their professional career of directing film and television. The students enrolled in will learn: The history and the making of film. How to visualize the script. How to develop the vision for film. Understanding how the film should look, feel and what the audience should gain from the cinematic experience. How to story tell through visuals.
